We just bought this and set it up in our dog house. very robust and easy to install. We have a 9 month old Australian Shepherd who chews everything, so a pet heating pad was out of the question. In addition, those are fragile and not worth . usd We live in a belt of snow and very high winds. We vibe on the stove right now on the medium, and is comfortable dog house. We isolate the dog house, because this is one of the things that we have recommended for the stove to function properly. I would recommend this and am very happy.

the vinyl out covers orthopedic foam pad, which is where does the "soft" (at least compared to their hard plastic bearings). shipped empty all packed, repacked with the air drawn out to save space, and to use just open the valve to let the air again so that the foam expands back to normal thickness. should not have any excess air to function as an air mattress; the statements also indicate to press some air out before you close the valve again to avoid any balloon effect. so claw drilled holes are not really an issue (even though vinyl is pretty hard). do not skimp on size, the medium is large enough for my cat small enough to comfortably sprawl on his side the way they like (I think she absorbs more heat that way), but the small would not be. is thick enough to be soft and comfortable for my cat, especially with fleece cover, but it could be a bit cheap for a heavier dog. the fleece cover is also very good for my cat, but I can see how a dog rolling around on it could free him (although some elastic and safety pins could remedy).

I am trying to help a stray cat survive winters of rural Minnesota who are cold and ruthless. Midwinter (2010-2011) I made a stray cat she was living in a shed used to store canvas miscellaneous gear. I'm not a cat lover ";" but that winter was brutal, and it was obvious that the cat was struggling to survive. I started to give him my back deck and tried to coax cable in the House, but the cat was suspicious of humans. continued to feed the cat through the summer and fall, but feral and refuses to come closer to me that six feet. This winter (2011-2012) has been milder than most, but a mild winter in Minnesota is still deadly. Unable to convince the cat in my house, I bought this heated outdoor units on the possibility that the cat I would use it, even though I had serious doubts he would be confined. to my relief, the cat has started using it after a few weeks to get used to his presence. the cat goes home every night, and not as scary as I did about the cat freezing to death. in fact, other stray cats also use home. This product did everything I hoped it would, and I am grateful to its producers. the House is well done and easy to assemble (zips and Velcro). I keep it under the eve my back deck where it sits on the bricks resting on decking materials-a precaution against fire and a way to keep it dry. I am perfectly comfortable recommending this product to anyone who wants to keep their cat-at least slightly-protected from the cold.

our middle-aged English Setter is totally enjoying her ' gift ' from Santa so far. He used to use an old blanket and always had a bunch is just so. ... making a mess on the floor.. his new pad is structured almost always nice and flat and seems to love that heat is reflected back.. He still has a NAP or spend a night on anything but the mat. so far, we're happy campers.. 9/24/12 UPDATE we had this pad for just short of 2 years and are very happy campers.. the pad is very durable and still reflecting heat back to the larger bones of our Setter.. I have a few (very few) hot summer nights, he skipped sleep on the carpet, but otherwise, your only place to sleep or NAP.. with this having to almost 2 years and showing very little wear, I recommend. great product and a very happy dog (which is the important part) ...

It was easy to assemble, easy to assemble and has a very convenient cable switch. it easily clips on the side of my big tank and can be tilted toward the basking areas with ease. also fits all standard size bulbs UV I tried with. a reptile heat lamp, perfect for virtually any size tank or reptile.

This entry seems to work well to keep my hot dogs. the only problem we had was by putting it in the Igloo with the cable coming out of the back of Igloo. We have a puppy chewing, so we had to make a hole in the dog. It would be nice if kennels thought ahead and put a small hole for a cable to pass through.

I bought this for 3-4 cats that live on my porch for the winter. I also have the body heat mat on the inside and the door (I'm reviewing those on their product pages). I uploaded a picture of medium dogloo (Indigo dog house) with the door and my cat Katrina, so maybe you can get a Visual idea about size. She is maybe 5 if that #, a normal housecat sized breed. I bought two of these, and gathered in the largest box I've ever seen, Holy cats! I didn't even know carrier services could deliver big boxes. they could accommodate four Crouching adults in it! Product information: * I was glad to see the lower section is deep enough that I didn't have to worry about rain ' slip ' the doghouse, as my porch gets very puddle-ish in the rain. * There is a vent area in the upper back. * There is no hole for the heater accessory, you must practice in the side of the lid, just FYI. (purchased separately). * There are pre-made holes inside the door (which is a soft flap that is within a few inches). (purchased separately). * I saw other reviews about this somewhere, complaining about the "inconsistency" of the tabs that hook. There are a few on the bottom dark inside and a couple on white top ' out '. When we arrived my box, an inner bottom card was completely detached and loose in the box. I bought this House for my two cats out. I must say that the pictures looked there were roof tiles, but these wood as the rest of the structure. --seems to be waterproof so far though. the House is spacious with a large door (I bought the plastic strip door did go with the House). I don't know how warm the structure will be in deep winter as it is only the woodwork and not isolated, but is in the corner of my deck tucked against the House with a partial roof overhang. I stuffed the plastic strips that was shipped with under the House and double-sided. the House was fairly well packed. There was a small crack on one of the boards on the roof, but it won't hurt the functionality, so I kept it as it is. It was easy to put together an electric screwdriver and I was alone. another person would be useful to keep the sides while screwing together. It's well made, sturdy and very attractive. on review, it's worth and definitely would buy.

I purchased this bowl for a feral cat colony (housed in a converted garage in a strawbale "granary" for kittens) and needed something that was sturdy enough to not receive a tip from some of the cats who enjoy drinking with paws on the sides of the bowl of water. living in Minnesota, a bowl of water that would keep water from freezing is essential. around here the season known as "Fall" lasts about 12 hours. the time interval ranging from 78 to a daytime high of 38 the next day, with low in the years 20 and 30. We already had low (with windchill) in the low 20 's and teens so I had the chance to see how well the bowl would manage a dozen kittens, and cold temps. works like a charm. one day the water was freezing, I entered into the bowl and iced water is no longer the next day and the following weeks. If you're cold and pets outdoors overnight lows, this water bowl is what you need. does not seem to up my electric bill or which is nice. Yes, I would recommend this item. also, it took 1 week from the time of order to arrive. I think they sent the day after the order has been processed, the only reason it took a long time to arrive, was due to a weekend that fell a few days after I ordered. J. W. Minnesota

I purchased the K & H hottest from PetSmart with lid, but I moved the unit warmer between several cat beds. the coverage you can get for it is a flat mat and good for cool spaces, but for really cold places like right in front of a drafty window. --put it under the cover of an oval or read "Cup" style will keep your cat toasty and happy. not only do the electric blankets fit nicely under the lid, a cup-style bed or oval, do also browse well in most kitty "hammocks" (the species can overhang on the window sill). great for winter-looking bird feeder! Safety Note: If your Kitty "steps" a lot and gets warmer directly under the cover of a Cup-style bed, be sure to keep your Kitty claws cut. start the unit warmer under the entire Cup is a waste because the heat will disperse to the surface under the bed instead of heating your Kitty. If you want to put a little warmer in a cool place like a basement or garage, concrete disperses the heat too easily. --opt for warmer outdoor. This is not sufficient in these cases. k & H kitty warmer outdoor uses 40watts instead of 6, but keeping your Kitty, warm and healthy is worth it. for use indoors and "upstairs", only 6 Watts worth of warmer pad is positively huge and uses less electricity than a night light bulb-style.

This is a great product. Unfortunately it is not marketed properly. It took forever to find someone selling these. These could be sold to pet outlets and farm supply stores. Agway has sold a version of this when they were in business. We use about 10 of these on our farm. p Polla, goats, chickens, horses, brooder room, etc. above are some of our applications. When we installed, jumped right in our dog and would not leave. 10/12/14 UPDATE *** the straps deteriorate in the Sun. the belt part which is covered continues to keep the walls in place and still works fine. the rest of it has held up well. the dog continues to love the isolation. I would do it again.

This is a really great add-on for the "Outback" series of dog houses. What really surprised me, in a good way, is that the manufacturer had already pre-drilled holes in doghouse for this port puppy! No worries about getting it lined up just right, centered, level, etc, etc, etc.. Starter holes are already there, just put the screws and tighten. I put a thermometer inside the kennel, before and after I installed the door and makes a bit of difference in temperature. I am completely confident that this will take place in heat enough for my dog to be comfortable on all but the coldest nights this winter. the range of strips all the way down to the floor (even a little past) so there are no gaps for air to enter under them. If you live in a place that has cold winters (we live in Indiana), this is a must-have.

This heated kitty pad makes a great addition to a winter shelter for outdoor cats. I believe in keeping cats inside, but if you love cats, you may find yourself dealing with someone else's cat outdoors, or maybe even ferals. looked at a product similar to PetsMart, but has been marked for indoor use only. the heating element of this Kitty "pad" is inside a hermetic casing that looks black thick plastic. the cable is 5 1/2 feet long, isolated and covered with a spiral of steel so that you don't have to worry about a critter chewed through it. the pad is large enough for a cat and luckily, it fit perfectly inside the igloo small that I created on my back deck. the instructions say do not immerse in water, so the pad should not be used in an open area, although I think would do well on a covered deck that we were almost dry timeand it makes sense to try to provide shelter against the elements, for the good of the cat, however, so if you're providing a dry shelter, good for the cat then the pad should be ok too. I put my igloo under a patio table, which then covered with a tarp (using patio chairs covered in shower curtain liners as inputs), so the pad is not exposed to moisture at all. the kitten has used the igloo and the heating pad several days this winter-it's worth the investment. by the way, if you order directly through the manufacturer's catalogue are heating pads specifically sized to fit semicircles igloosbut this little cat pads fit in my igloo just fine.

I bought this for my oldest cat, 15 years old, but I have 2 other. all the cats seem to like the heat sink and take turns sleeping on it. the heating element is less than the size of coverage, so be careful. I think this is so the cat can take advantage of the soft pad into the cover but not be forced to be 100% on fire. two cats you can put on it, but like I said they are only partially heat. warms nicely and leave it plugged in all the time. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought 2 of these from Lowe today for 13 usd,58 (model BWD-HWA). each requires a 9 volt battery, has a sensor wire 6 feet and a guarantee of 5 years, though no guarantee it will work. can stand alone or be attached to a wall with the extended wire sensor. the sensor cable can be spliced up to 100 feet, if you provide the wire. It is also claimed that the alarm sounds for up to 3 days. This needs to be in a pool of water (at least 1/32 ") to work because it has 2 sensors on the bottom that need electric current flow between them-the water is the conductor. It is not the sense of water droplets, but should work in a situation where flood water is covering the floor. I tried the ones I bought and work in a puddle, but the alarm has to be a little stronger. claims to be 110 decibels, and if this is true, then it is stronger than most similar alarms. has a constant high pitch sound (not audible signal) similar to a smoke alarm, but not nearly as high. can be heard if not too far away, but to be effective, must be heard everywhere in the House and wake her up while sleeping. so depending on your hearing, the size of your home and where you are when playing, might work well for you. However, none of these devices work when you can't hear them. If one of these devices, it would be wise to place more than one where a lot of floods might occur and cause serious damage to your home. where is the washer is a great candidate.

I use the heat emitter maybe 30 days per year when the temperature is between 50 and 65 degrees and cover the top of the cage with a large beach towel (because cold = windy in South Florida). at night and under 50 degrees during the day, Georgie remains within. Remember that this PLACEMENT is radiant heat---how light bounces. I place the transmitter about 3 "outside the cage, about 6" below the top---that way, with the top of the covered cage, some radiant heat will bounce off the lid to warm the top of Georgie. its perch is perpendicular to the transmitter, about 2 "under the emitter so that Georgie can choose how much you want distance from heat emitter. a "nest box" is immediately beneath the perch--that heat so can bounce upward from the top of the box at the bottom of Georgie and the box itself absorbs some heat, if Georgie needs to withdraw from a hawk, cat or other perceived threat, or simply for NAP. I'm considering adding a second 60-watt transmitter exclusively to nesting box of Hot Georgie, which would provide a toasty shelter even if the temperature drops unexpectedly. Note that a normal cardboard box with an entrance hole can serve as a "nest box". 60, 100 or 150 Watts the 60 watt is that it is sufficient for closed vessels, for example 10 gallon aquariums, for which you should. My kitten loves this arthritic pads! Unfortunately, so do all my kittens so it looks like I have to take a few more! Works as described and is a wonderful product, but I really wanted to share a nice way to make a place for your cat. I had previously purchased a large decorative ceramic pots, garden at Ace. is the type with a 8 "side hole (I posted a picture in product images from clients found in the review section). the base is exactly the size for this heating pad has a small hole (drainage) in the back that the cable cross perfectly without any bending type. This dish is a favorite of my kitty aimed at by sleephe there all the time! When I saw the pad I was wondering if it would work within. I put the pad off the pot the night before, so he would have to give up his favorite place, if he didn't like the pad. When I got up in the morning, he was the heated pad and not on your plate! Trust me, that is a very high recommendation straight from the cat! This is a fantastic set up because it keeps the cord out of the reach of the limbs/teeth, is welcoming and adds an extra layer of security because the pad cannot be moved around somewhere when you're right there. my little Kitty loves his small, heated, home!
